Great Taste for the Week Tuesday!

What a hit this was!
So easy and it takes like 2 minutes to make!
Tastes Great!
This is the great taste of the week because it tastes good and because of the simpleness and easiness to make it!

Grape Lime Ricky!

1 12 oz. can Frozen Grape Juice
1 liter Lime Soda (Sprite)
2 Limes

Add the frozen grape juice to a pitcher . Prepare the grape juice as instructed on the can except substituting the soda for the water. Squeeze in one lime and cut the other one up and put it in. Drink within a few hours or else the lime will make it sour! Great for fun parties or get together!

Raspberry Dream

Make a smoothy for you Valentine!
Something easy and refreshing is always a treat!

ingredients:
1 can of Peaches
1 cup of Frozen Raspberries
1 Tbsp. of Sugar
1/8 cup of Orange Juice
2 Tbsp. of Raspberry Jam

directions:
Open the can of peaches and pour them in a bowl. Leave in as much water/syrup as you want with the syrup, I leave about half, but this helps to add more liquid to your smoothy. Place your bowl of peaches in the freezer for a little while. When your peaches are about frozen pull them out and add these to your blender. Add everything else to your blender and mix them all together until well blended. Serve and enjoy. This makes 2 yummy servings!

Peachy Banana Smoothie

Here is a super tasty smoothie recipe to try.

It is really simple to make and doesn't take much time either. It will hit the spot if you are wanting something sweet like this.

Ingredients

  •  1 (8 ounce) Vanilla-flavored Nonfat Yogurt
  •  1/3 of a Banana, sliced
  •  1 cup Frozen Peaches
  •  1/2 cup Orange Juice
  •  1 Tbsp. Sugar

Directions:

In a blender, whip together all of the ingredients and serve in glasses. Serves 2.
(You don't have to buy peaches if you already have canned peaches in your food storage. Just empty the can, drain out the juice in a cup, pour the peaches in a bowl and place these in the freezer for a few hours. Use these when they are frozen. It still works the same and still tastes great!)

Happy New Year With Your Children!

Here are some fun ideas to do with your children tonight!
Hope you have Happy New Year tonight!

Play New Year's Bingo
See who can get bingo before the final countdown begins.
Make a Time Capsule
Capture your memories and bottle them up tonight in a time capsule. At the end of every year insert a family photo in a jar, and fill it with your favorite things of the year.
Blowing Bubbles
Save yourself from cleaning up a confetti mess and make these mini bubbles bottles to have all the kids blow when the clock stricks midnight!
Mirror Ball
Bring a little Times Square into your home by crafting a mirror ball and building your own ball drop. Just cover a large Styrofoam ball with small craft mirrors and jewels, and hang from your ceiling.
Paper Party Hats
Make your own party hats this year by wrap some gold paper into a cone shape, and add some bling. Leave a small hole in the top of your cone, and let black and white paper strips pop out of the spout. Finally, attach a ribbon to fit around your kid's chin, and add a "Happy New Year" sign on the front.
Countdown Treats
Crack open a special message or treat every hour of your countdown.
Make Drinks.
(1) APPLE PIE PUNCH
Mix together 4 ounces apple juice, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, and ½ teaspoon Grenadine syrup. Top with crushed ice and garnish with an apple slice.
(2) CRANBERRY SPARKLER
In a shaker, mix together 4 ounces cranberry juice, 1 ounce orange juice, and one teaspoon honey. Pour over ice and top with chilled club soda.
