Simple Guacamole

It is Tuesday! Your greatest taste of the week is here.
Drum roll please for the guacamole recipe!
I love guacamole! It goes great with chips and salsa,
Mexican food and whatever else you would like.
A few years ago you couldn't get me to eat an avocado even if you had paid me. I then spent some time in Chile doing service for my church
and we were fed loads and loads of avocados.
Since then I have really love the taste of avocados.
Try this great recipe and enjoy!

ingredients:
2 Avocados
2 Tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup Onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
1/3 tsp. Cilantro dry (or cut a small bunch from fresh cilantro leaves)

directions:
Cut and peel your avocados. Smash the avocados with a potato masher or a fork. Add your dice tomatoes and your diced onions. Add the salt, lemon juice and cilantro and mix all together. Wa La! Your guacamole is complete!

Bean Dip

Any Christmas parties coming up?
Here is the bean dip that will blow everyone away!
We make this every year for Thanksgiving and it is gone within minutes.
So try it for your next gathering of friends or family -
I'm sure everyone will love it and it is just so easy!

Ingredients:
2 cans (16 oz.) Re-fried Beans or 3 cans Bean Dip
1 Jar of Salsa
8 oz. Sour Cream
1 pkg. Taco Seasoning
3-4 Avocados or 1 (8 oz.) Container of Avocado Snack Dip
Grated Cheese
Diced Tomatoes
Chopped Olives

Directions:
1. Mix the beans and half of the salsa together.
Layer this on a glass plate or platter.
2. Mix the sour cream and taco seasoning and use this for the second layer.
3. Mix the avocados (or avocado snack dip) and the second half of the salsa
together. Spread this for the third layer. *Note: If you use the avocado
snack dip it already has tomatoes in it so you don't need to mix your salsa
    with it.
4. Add the cheese first, then the tomatoes, and last the olives on top for
   garnish.
5. Serve with chips!
Serve your dip on a platter!

Or serve your dip in individual cups!

Tomorrow is Tuesday!!
This blog is all about Tuesdays - that is why it is called greatastestuesdays!
The year I was dating my husband was so crazy busy!
We were both trying to graduate, work, do internships, etc. etc. etc.
The list goes on, but we did take a class together on Tuesday nights.
Some weeks this was the only time we could get together and see each other so after class we would go and make dinner or a treat together.
Each week we would try to find some new and exciting recipe that would taste great.
So, taken after our story comes this blog!
Every Tuesday the blog will feature the greatest taste that was found for the week.
You don't want to miss out! Sometimes there might even be something more then just a great recipe!

Stay tuned for the find of the week every Tuesday on greatastestuesdays.blogspot.com!
